The fiction slam will work in much the same way as poetry slam. We’ll have a minimum of three rounds, so please bring at least four short pieces (less than 750 words each). Depending on the number of entrants, approximately half of the readers will be eliminated at the end of each round until the final round where there will be two readers going head to head. The judges will make the final determination of the winner. The entry fee is $10 and the prizes will be a cache of Philadelphia Stories Goodies along with a $50 Gift Certificate to Monks Belgian Cafe and a featured spot in the Philadelphia Stories Summer e-newsletter, read by over 2000 subscribers.
