Artist Teacher Institute
SUMMER WRITING & ART WORKSHOPS in Camden & Wayne
Co-sponsored by Arts Horizons & the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
The Artist Teacher Institute (aTi), a summer arts immersion program for teachers, artists, administrators, student teachers & others, will conduct its 34th season this summer!
Workshops are offered in poetry writing (CAT DOTY in Wayne; PETER MURPHY in Camden), playwriting (DOMINIQUE CIERI in Wayne), creative non-fiction (ANNDEE HOCHMAN in Camden), poetry performance (LAMONT DIXON & ANNDEE HOCHMAN in Camden), book arts, creative movement, glass painting, instrument making, printmaking, storytelling, and visual arts. The sessions run for two weeks from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm at two locations:
* William Paterson University, Wayne (July 6 - July 17, 2009)
* Rutgers University, Camden (July 27 - August 7, 2009)
Teachers can earn 72 hours of professional development credit, as well as graduate credit & continuing education credit.
Registration Fees include tuition, continental breakfast, and lunch.
* $625.00 for teachers & administrators
* $375.00 for artists & student teachers
