Warminster

by Kathryn Pilles-Genaw

The lot
was stones
and corners,
rafters shafts
of stars
and certainty.
Here
the cut-down
pines remember
circuitry
and sap:
warm boy,
just love can
drip like that,
thick
as plums
and straight
as parallel
powerlines.
