Dear Ms. Weiser,
I submitted (or hope I did) a story today. First, the form said that my story was 68 KB when I am only allowed 1 MB (something about disk space). I don't understand this since the story is not any longer than my usual stories and I have submitted to you several times without any problem. I ended up submitting in text format, but it still looked like I did something wrong, so not sure if the story went through (it is entitled "Pink." Also, since 1 megabyte = 1024 kilobytes, I don't see how my story was too large to submit in Word format.
Also, on the form, there are two areas to put your bio and two for the cover letter. This happens every time I submit. I fill it in both places, but never know if I am doing the right thing.
Thanks,
Margaret Karmazin
Hi!
Nice to have found you,not sure how to proceed.
Submission form has 2 bio areas and a cover letter.
Where would I submit an essay? Word limits etc.
Where would I submit a poem?
Is this area for members only?
If these questions are easier discussed, is there a number I could call.
(Thanks for your patience...Just getting started)
I see only one bio field - the second is for a short cover letter. Guidelines for essays and all submissions can be found here (scroll down below general guidelines to find specific genre guidelines): http://www.philadelphiastories.org/submission-guidelines. Per our submission guidelines: "Philadelphia Stories Magazine strives to publish the finest fiction,
poetry, essays and art written by authors living in, or originally from,
Pennsylvania, Delaware, or New Jersey. Please follow these guidelines
for submitting material. There is no reading fee." Hope this helps.
